COLONEL BEATTY PARK
From Waxhaw take PROVIDENCE ROAD (HWY 16) north towards Charlotte. At the stoplight in Weddington, turn right on HWY 84. Take the very first left off 84. Stay on this road until it ends and turn right. The road will take a big turn to the left and Colonel Beatty Park entrance will be on the left. Follow the signs to the soccer fields at the back of the park.
Alternate directions to Colonel Beatty Park - Take Providence Road all the way to McKee Road (the stoplight by the Home Depot, Harris Teeter, Blockbuster, etc.) and turn right. Follow McKee Road to the stoplight at Weddington Road and turn right. Colonel Beatty Park entrance will be about a mile on your right hand side. Follow the signs to the soccer fields at the back of the park.
DAVIE PARK (WILLIAM DAVIE PARK)
From Waxhaw take PROVIDENCE ROAD (HWY
16)north towards Charlotte. Continue approx. 8 -12 miles until you come
to I-485. Cross over I-485 and continue another 3-5 miles until you come
to the ARBORETUM. It will be on your left. The major intersection is
PINEVILLE-MATTHEWS ROAD (HWY. 51) just past the ARBORETUM. You will turn
LEFT onto PINEVILLE-MATTHEWS ROAD (HWY. 51) and approximately 2 miles
and entrance to the park will be on your left.

LOVE PARK
From Waxhaw take NORTH BROOM STREET (HWY
16)towards Charlotte. Cross over railroad tracks and go to 2nd road on
the right. This is HOWIE MINE ROAD. Turn right. Continue straight on
this road. It will eventually turn into WAXHAW-INDIAN TRAIL ROAD. You
will go thru several crossroads...NEWTOWN ROAD, WEDDINGTON ROAD (HWY
84),and POTTERS ROAD. This is approx. 10 to 12 miles. After you pass
POTTERS ROAD, continue another 4 to 7 miles and you will come to a
stop light. This is OLD MONROE ROAD. Cross over and keep going
straight. There is an Exxon station on your right. Continue about 1/2
mile and look for PARK ROAD on your right. Turn right and the fields
are on the right about a 1/4 mile.
Soccer fields are in the back part of the complex.
The fields are located in uptown Charlotte just south of the Carolina Medical Center. Go north on 16 and turn north on Queens where it intersects with 16. Take a left on S. Kings Dr. go to East Blvd. where you take a right. The entrance to the park is just a block away on the left.
HELLENIC PARK
From Waxhaw: Take HWY 16 (PROVIDENCE ROAD) towards Charlotte. Go approx. 6-8 miles. You will cross over I-485. The very next intersection after I-485 turn right. This is McKEE ROAD. Go down McKEE ROAD and you will see a Y in the road. A fire station sits in this Y. Bear to the left. Stay on this road for approx. 3-5 miles. There will be a housing development on the left. The park is right after the housing development on the left.
From Waxhaw take NORTH BROOM STREET (HWY 16)towards Charlotte. Cross over railroad tracks and go to 2nd road on the right. This is HOWIE MINE ROAD. Turn right. Continue straight on this road. This road is SECREST SHORT CUT ROAD. Continue straight across and go about 1 mile and school is on your left. Soccer fields are in the back of the school.
From Waxhaw: Take Hwy.16 (PROVIDENCE ROAD) towards Charlotte. You will go past I-485. Continue until you get to HWY 51 (PINEVILLE-MATTHEWS ROAD). The Arboretum shopping center will be on your left. Turn right on HWY. 51 and head towards Matthews. You will pass Providence High School on your left. Go until you get to MONROE ROAD. Turn left on to MONROE ROAD. Continue for approx. 1-3 miles. The road will go down a hill and curve to the left. At the curve, you will go under a bridge. Just as you go under the bridge, McAlpine Park will be on your right.
McKEE
ROAD PARK
From Waxhaw: Take HWY 16 (PROVIDENCE ROAD)
towards Charlotte. Go approx. 6-8 miles. You will cross over I-485. The
very next intersection after I-485 turn right. This is McKEE ROAD. Go
down McKEE ROAD and you will see a Y in the road. A fire station sits in
this Y. Bear to the left. Go about 1/2 to 1 mile and MCKEE ROAD
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL will be on your right. Fields are at the school.
MINT HILL - BRIEF ROAD PARK
MINT HILL PARK
From Waxhaw: Take HWY 16 (PROVIDENCE ROAD)
towards Charlotte. Take I-485 East
towards Matthews. Take the Hwy 218 exit off I-485. Turn left at the
top of the exit and head towards Mint Hill.
The complex will
be on your left just over the bridge. Open restrooms and concessions
available.
MONROE MIDDLE SCHOOL
From Waxhaw, head east on WAXHAW HWY. (HWY
75) towards Monroe. Go thru Mineral Springs. Go approx. 8 miles to a
stop light. HWY. 84 will merge with WAXHAW HWY. Just past this light is
Franklin Plaza on the left. Continue until next light. This is NORTH
CHARLOTTE AVE. Go straight to the second light past NORTH CHARLOTTE AVE.
Union County courthouse will be on your left. Turn right onto SOUTH
HAYNE STREET, (HWY 207). Go approx. 1/2 mile to the 3rd. stop light.
There will be a Food Lion in front of you. This is SUNSET DRIVE. Turn
left. Go another 1/4 to 1/2 mile to CHARLES STREET on the left. Make a
left. Fields are on the right.
From Waxhaw, head east on WAXHAW HWY. (HWY 75) towards Monroe. Go thru Mineral Springs. Go approx. 8 miles to a stop light. HWY. 84 will merge with WAXHAW HWY. Just past this light is Franklin Plaza on the left. Continue until next light. This is NORTH CHARLOTTE AVE. Go straight to the second light past NORTH CHARLOTTE AVE. Union County courthouse will be on your left. Turn left onto HAYNE STREET. Go approx. 1 mile and turn east onto HWY 74. You will go about 1 1/2 miles to the 3rd stoplight. You will see signs for HWY 200 NORTH. Turn left here. Quincy's will be on your left in front of you before you make the turn. Take HWY 200 NORTH for 9.8 miles. You will come to ZEBULON WILLIAMS ROAD on the left. Turn left here. Baucom Bothers milling will be in front of you when you make the turn. The park is about 1/2 mile on the left.
PAW CREEK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
From Waxhaw take HWY 16 (PROVIDENCE ROAD)
towards Charlotte. Go approximately 7-9 miles to I-485. Turn left and
head towards PINEVILLE. Stay on I-485 until you get to I-77. Turn
right and head NORTH on I-77. Go approximately 3-6 miles and get off
at the BILLY GRAHAM PARKWAY EXIT. Go towards Charlotte-Douglas
Airport. Stay on BILLY GRAHAM PARKWAY until you get to I-85. Get on
I-85 SOUTH towards Gastonia and Kings Mountain. Go to next exit, #32
LITTLE ROCK ROAD. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Turn right onto
LITTLE ROCK ROAD. Go 2.45 miles and turn slightly to the left onto
FREEDOM DRIVE/NC 27. Go .21 miles and turn left onto TOM SADLER ROAD.
Go about 1/2 mile and turn right onto CATHEY ROAD. School will be in
front of you.
From Waxhaw, go on HWY 16 towards Charlotte. This is NORTH BROOME STREET. Cross over railroad tracks and go to 2nd road and turn right. This is HOWIE MINE ROAD. This will turn into WAXHAW-INDIAN TRAIL ROAD. Stay on this road. You will cross over NEWTOWN ROAD. The next big intersection is WEDDINGTON ROAD (HWY 84). Turn LEFT and go approx 3/4 mile and fields will be on the right.
From Waxhaw take WAXHAW HWY. (HWY 75) towards Monroe. Go approx. 3 to 5 miles until you see WESTERN UNION SCHOOL ROAD. Turn right. Fields are a 1/4 mile on the left.
WINGATE RECREATION PARK
Take 74 east through Monroe, toward
Wingate. Turn left on Bivens Street, this should be at the first stop
light and before the Burger King. Cross over the railroad tracks and the
Elementary School will be on your left. Go past the school and turn left
onto Elm Street. Turn left into the first drive after the school parking
lot, this will take you into the park. Follow the drive around and the
U-7/U-8 and U-9/U10 fields will be on your right. The lower field on the left
is the U-12/U-14 field.
WAXHAW UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
(Used for SCOW Registration Offices)
From HWY 75 in Waxhaw, turn onto
PROVIDENCE RD. which is HWY. 16 and go towards Charlotte. After you
cross the railroad tracks, go to the 2nd road to the left. This is
McDONALD STREET. You will see a gas station and Waxhaw Fish & Food on
the corner on your left. Turn left and go to the stop sign. The church
will be directly in front of you on the right side of the street. We
will be in the fellowship hall which is the small building just past the
church. Go through the white double doors.
