THE SOCCER COUNCIL OF WAXHAW (SCW) is a recreational soccer organization located in south-central North Carolina in Union County. We give children ages 4 thru 16 the opportunity to play soccer in a competitive team environment. We have both co-ed and all girls teams. We are affiliated with North Carolina Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA) and Union Soccer Association (USA). Several of our teams have made it to the state recreational cup finals and were crowned North Carolina Youth Soccer Association Champions. Several of our teams have also been crowned the local county USA champions. In 2002, the organization became a 501C3 Non Profit Corporation. Today, SCW has grown to 11 board members and has had provided the sport of soccer for over 1000 families and 1500 players. The growth and development of  SCW has been challenging and satisfying. The ongoing challenge for SCW is to provide the very best environment for our children to learn the game of soccer with the best coaching, equipment, and facilities. 

THE PARENTS CREED…….
Help me to understand that my child’s development is in the coaches hands. Help me to see that this program is for the children, not for me. If in defeat our team should fall, help me to stand tall. And if in victory our team should stand. help me to extend a humble hand. If our philosophies don’t always agree, help me support the coaches and the referee. For it is the philosophy of "fair play" that the coach believes in my child in every way. And what more could I want for my child….Than someone who believes, truly believes, in my child.
